Jurgi Moor is an abstract expressionist artist, born in Vilnius in 1984.

 

The Artist now lives in Bampton, Devon.

 

Jurgi paints not what she sees but rather what she feels. Her artwork is very expressive and full of energy. She combines sweeping, gestural brushstrokes and very emotive lines with textural mark making to capture the essence of a piece. A clever, striking colour palette dances before the eye, intriguing the viewer.

 

Often working in groups with one painting coming after another in quick succession she plays with composition. Her inspiration comes from any interesting rugged aesthetics found in nature. Rocks by the sea, tall grasses by lakes, rugged and the windswept nature found on Dartmoor and Exmoor.
