Sara Cucè
Sara Cucè is a London-based photographer, and a BA graduate from London Metropolitan University, London.
Her work explores questions of identity, representation, perception, memory, and the environment; it unravels identity and subjectivity as something that is never complete, but always in process, and invariably formed from within.
Cucè is the recipient of the Metro Imaging Mentorship Award and finalist of the LensCulture Magnum Photography Awards, the Magnum Print Swap Shop, the Royal Photographic Society IPE 160 and the Photography on a Postcard 2017.
Her work has been included in numerous exhibitions throughout UK, including: the Magnum Print Swap Shop, the Royal Photographic Society IPE 160 and the Photography on a Postcard 2017.'Home' from the series 'Memory of the eyes' a visual diary focusing on the sense of belonging. Sara Cuce's diary is the evidence of her overcoming the sense of isolation and loneliness, typical of our times. Here in black and white are two emotional categories, two polarities of a nomadic look, which are shaping their way across the extremes of a flux of conditions. Entirely shot with a 35mm film camera and black and white film, developed and printed manually by the artist.
