Clay is an amazing medium to work with, allowing your imagination to run wild. Your mind is the start of the journey but the clay invariably leads the way.

A love of the sea and the contrasting coasts found in the South West of England is Jayne’s main inspiration when creating her pieces from coils and slabbed clay. From rough dark cliffs to shifting sands and estuaries, the textures used on her vessels and bases are unique and evocative of the ocean. Her other love is plant seed heads which, although decorative, are created with wildlife overwintering in mind. A late starter to pottery, Jayne now spends many hours in her studio creating unique and useful pieces for all. Jayne believes that no matter how deep your pocket is, you should have access to beautiful things.
