I enjoy the freedom the process of making art provides for me. A freedom of time, mental space that is just mine; a feeling of being alone. A journey that involves making allowances for spending time creatively: including frustration and self-doubt. Having health challenges, I’m able to transcend the struggles and limitations of physical and mental problems. What transpires is art that reflects not only one’s expression but a product with its own integrity, separate. Anything that comes from my creativity has the capacity to belong on its own terms: existing as an object unique yet potentially relatable to others.
