Steps to the Old Harbour

After gaining a BA in Fine Art many years ago, I subsequently spent 30 years in Education, teaching art and then become a Secondary Headteacher in Devon. I now work from my studio at home, near Exeter.

My work aims to capture the 'genus loci' of a landscape - the essence of a specific place, time and energy from my walks.

While I also work in paint, oil pastel, collage and watercolour, printmaking is fast becoming my preferred medium. I generally use a reduction lino-printing method, which I approach with a painter's gestural marks.
