Sea Call

The exploration of the magnificent Devon coastline where I am blessed to live and my passionate connection with its natural beauty, inspires me to capture with paint the movement and rhythm of the sea and skies; the emotionality of its raw and wild elements and the continually changing light. This exciting painting journey began three years ago and the motivation to creatively express the landscape was, I believe, a calling. I am auto didactic but draw upon my experience of visual language gained from being a photographer. The inner creative landscape of my artistic process is experimental and exploratory. I develop layers and texture which allows the painting to evolve through the creative process. I aspire for the work to communicate my reverence of the emotive and healing powers of this beautiful natural world.
