Rock Pool - Oval

Elin Isaksson is originally from Sweden where she began her initial glass training at the Orrefors Glass School, part of the famous crystal factory. After graduating from Edinburgh College of Art in 2006with an MA in Applied Arts, she stayed on as Artist in Residence building up her portfolio. Further training includes master classes with Dante Marioni and Simon Moore at Northland Glass Centre in Lybster.

 

Elin’s inspiration is the Scottish and Swedish natural surroundings and her forms simple and tactile, drawing from her Scandinavian background. Her hand-blown glass designs often reveal a sense of movement and tries to capture the energy and fluidity when working with molten glass.
