In the last couple of years, I have taken various online Intermediate fused glass courses with Catherine Dunstan as well as a 1-year Art and Design (fused glass), level 2 course at Bude College. I’ve been inspired to try new ideas and techniques and gained valuable knowledge of fusing schedules, coldworking, the confidence to give ideas a go and the courage to safely open a kiln up at 700°C.

 

I attended, for the first time, the International Festival of Glass (2022) in Stourbridge. It felt such a privilege to listen to and watch so many talented artists who generously gave an insight into their work and skills. I met with other glass artists who made me feel part of the glassy family and came away buzzing with ideas and renewed passion for my art!
