Jianyong Guo is a glass artist, sculptor, and painter. His work reflects the relationship between people, society, and nature. When all relationships are in a state of harmony, there is beauty and joy. Therefore, he pursues the inner and outer harmony of artistic works.
His glass works realize this pursuit through the perfect combination of painting and sculpture. His work is a combination of painting and sculpture. He paints on the inside of the glass sculpture, absorbing the traditional Chinese snuff bottle inside painting technology and inside hollow out method.
The guiding ideology of his works is the traditional Chinese Taoist philosophy, which advocates the harmonious coexistence between man and nature. Harmony between Yin and Yang is the way of harmonious coexistence of all things in the universe.
He uses painting to supplement the deficiency of sculpture and tries his best to show his emotions and views in the works to the maximum extent possible. His work is made of kiln casting, and the oil painting is painted inside the sculpture with special hooked brushes.
Through the refraction and reflection of glass, the inside painting and the outside form of the sculpture are perfectly combined. His sculpture works inherit and innovate traditional Chinese culture, which is a relatively new way of glass art creation.
