Virginia is an artist, potter and poet based in Kingsteignton. This year Virginia is delighted to have returned to working with clay, and is presenting a series of stoneware ceramics.
Virginia hold a City and Guilds in both drawing and landscape painting and is Co-chair of Newton Abbot Art Group.
Stoneware Bowl
Created using oxides. raw or plain oxides are metal elements that are combined with oxygen. They are ground to a powder and used in pottery as a colourant. This bowl has been created using oxides under a clear glaze to reflect the mining identity of the moor, the outside surface has been left unglazed.
