Drakes Island, Plymouth Sound

I am a former Fire and Rescue Officer and a self taught painter. I have been painting for approx. 3 1/2 years now since leaving the Service.

 

I am inspired by Seago, Wesson, Hilder and early impressionistic watercolour artists. I am especially interested in capturing tone, light and atmosphere in a traditional approach.

This piece was produced during Episode four of Channel 5's Watercolour Challenge Series 1 2022. It was produced en plein air on location at Devils Point, Plymouth
