I am a practising artist, currently based in West London but intending to move to the Torquay area in the near future.
I am predominantly a fine art printmaker, using the mediums of lino print which I often combine with collage and wood engraving. I specialise in images of the natural world having worked in the field of nature conservation for many years. I also work in watercolour and have undertaken a large number of commissions for wildlife illustrations as well as exhibiting examples of my botanical painting in the past.
In the past few years, I have exhibited at a number of galleries and venues in London, including Orleans House Gallery in Twickenham, (Reimagined - an exhibition themed on the Richmond Borough Art Collection, participating with 6 other artists) and The White Box Gallery in Blackheath, South London where I held a joint exhibition 'Fragile Nature' with fellow printmaker Amanda Taylor.
I work to promote wood engraving, organising workshops in London and Northumberland and have exhibited a number of times in the Society of Wood Engravers annual UK wide exhibition. I am looking forward to a move to Devon for the fabulous inspiration it will have to offer.
