By The Old Pier I

I am a Dorset based self-taught marine artist, born in Eastern Europe in 1977. In my oil paintings I mainly use either a quick a la prima or traditional multi-layered technique. 

 

My artistic inspiration comes from the atmospheric seascapes I'm blessed to observe every day of my life - crashing waves, stormy skies, or blissful sunny days full of sunlight reflecting off the sea surface and refracted in crystal clear sea waves. Always fascinated by water in all its forms, I see the ocean and the sea as a source of life, a primordial water where life began. Through my paintings I want to evoke in the viewer feelings similar to mine. Not thoughts. Only emotions. Only feelings.
