OIl by Susan Cavaliere
Bower Bird
Addiction to painting began for me a Salisbury School of Art, being classically trained by experts and professional artists who gave their knowledge and encouraged me to use all different media, texture and colours to give depth and interest. Mostly use oils and sometimes wax for translucent shading. Mythology, history, folklore and iconic places suggest amazing narratives to complete my pieces. The base and atmosphere of my work is abstract in concept, with figures or subjects brought together with surrealism and fantasy.
I have been involved with the art world for many years and currently have the honour of Chairman for Torbay Guild of Artists. My work has been purchased by international collectors from Australia, Far East, United States and many European and British buyers. I am represented internationally by Saatchi Art and my local representatives Artizan Galleries in Torquay.
