Grace Clifford
Grace Clifford is a Devon based creative practitioner whose work spans several artistic mediums. She has explored watercolour, ink, printmaking, photography, film and mixed media, including drawing upon her skills as seamstress and crafter. Her primary focus centres on the intricacies of printmaking, with a particular interest in etching techniques. Creativity has always been a part of Grace’s life and she enjoys exploring new mediums and the experiments they bring.
Grace's art is a thoughtful response to a multitude of themes, with a particular focus on geology, landscapes, wildlife and how they connect with her. Through her work, she aims to uncover and celebrate the concepts that call out to her, shedding light on aspects that may evade casual observation.
She builds into her pieces her academic background in geology, passion for wildlife and highlighting the delicate nature of the planet. Grace is set to explore more about the relationship between these, which current pieces begin to reflect on, in the hope to bring about further awareness of the interconnectivity of art and science.
