Cherry Lyons BA (hons) – a creative and adventurous artist, working in watercolours, acrylics, oils, pastels, encaustic wax and printmaking.  Since moving to Devon in 1999 she is ridiculously enthusiastic making and sharing art. In her garden studio the fun begins when sketchbook memories are given life and new ideas are developed.  With evolving practice, colour-drenched textures and moods of our glorious coast and countryside present endless opportunities for experimentation and teaching others. 

 

'Although watercolour has been my favourite media, I am driven by curiosity and experimentation so love to mix media with techniques that interpret the textural qualities of the landscape or capture the spirit of a place'

 

An award-winning exhibitor she has taken part in Sky Landscape Artist of the Year, been a finalist for Devon Life Landscape Painter of the Year, is Vice-President of Devon Art Society, is a member Devon Artist Network and several art groups in South Devon
