I have been honing in on a signature artistic style for years, and have focussed on the subconsciousness and distortion of imagery. I am fascinated by the dream state and have explored these areas by expressing my own imaginative outlook on the world through a surrealistic vision.
Initially we draw from what we know and perceive around us. Landscapes play a vital part regarding my inspiration, and I love dominating what could be quite a tranquil scene with images from my subconscious. I feel this gives the viewer a new perspective on how to look out onto the world around us, and thereby interpreting the work personally.
I mainly use pencil, pen and ink, and charcoal to create my drawings, and am very proud of the body of work I’ve built over the years. I feel my portfolio stands out and can capture the imagination of the public.
Inspirations include: ‘Kow Fong Lee’, ‘Oliver Jeffers’, ‘Dave Mckean’, ‘Steve Johnson’, and ‘David Litchfield’.
