Ares

Recent works are an abstract representation of the Ancient Gods. I try to confront the reality to reflect on a presence and place in the past in the present. Ancient Gods are important in a world culture due to their universalism. The myths are a mirror of our reality in which new generations view themselves.

My paintings has form of 3 dimensional/ sculpture effect, incorporating a natural element of architecture: plaster, concrete, linen and resin. The art balance between minimalism and expressionism where emotions are shown with distinct strokes.

Dynamic form is used to construct narratives whose sense and reference should be sought in the Ancient Mythology. The form allows to generalize the individual experience by inscribing it into timeless categories of feelings and patterns of events.
