Anima Mundi

The images of childhood form my visual language. After training as a fine art painter, I now work within a specialised form of colour inked steel plate etching. Recent studies around Jung's psychological process of individuation, and philosophy in general, has led me to uncover alchemy’s abundant use of symbols and this has held my attention.

 

 By following this questioning thread back through time an unchanging need for us all to look within, begin to recognise our true selves, find some inner peace and stand ready to really see our fellow human beings has emerged. My subjects of interest continually evolve but have always come from the perspective of a woman and a mother, sometimes fundamentally feminist in nature.
