Nima Javan
Nima was born in Iran and is now based in London. His personal work is concerned with creatures and animals that have been identified in a new world with issues concerning life and human resistance. He depicts the Eastern world (Persian miniatures and carpets) as childhood memories in the form of animal characters in a modern and technological space.
Favourable conditions for life are disappearing on our planet as a result of current conditions and climate changes. Animals and imaginary creatures play the roles of all the creatures on our planet. These creatures were created in a new environment, rebuilt, and introduced into the field of life.
Many works demonstrate the concept of play and the alternation cycle. The cycle that has developed as a result of these being’s reconstruction and creation. Each creature has its own task and function, but they have also created peace and long-lasting friendship. Something that did not exist between humans and reality but was resurrected and evolved in the version.
