All The Greens

I work in kiln formed glass using a kiln with a greater internal height than normal, which enables me to make large pieces in three dimensions. I mainly make reasonably priced glassware for use around the house, to see and touch. Therefore, the majority of my creations are intended for everyday use. I believe everybody should have the opportunity to own a piece of unique handmade glassware which makes them happy. So, for example I make vases, platters, bowls, and dishes. These are in exciting colour combinations, designed to make people smile and to tap into the inherent fascination with coloured glass I have often observed.

 

My next adventure will be combining glass and other materials to create works to help people with disabilities enjoy in their own ways. I love the deferred gratification of opening my kiln after a firing and finding a new and beautiful object awaiting me.
