Emerging Contemporaries
Artizan Collective is pleased to host Emerging Contemporaries, an ambitious showcase from FdA Contemporary Arts Practice students at University Centre South Devon. This dynamic exhibition introduces the voices of five early-career artists — Rosie Mastell, Siobhan Price, Kerry Green, and Quinn Haines, — whose original works explore personal, political, and philosophical themes through a range of media. From sculpture to film, immersive installation to traditional fine art forms, the pieces presented reflect a shared commitment to experimentation and critical engagement. The show invites audiences into conversations around identity, mortality, disability, community, and the intersections between AI and human creativity. Across the exhibition, bold visual languages emerge as each artist defines the concerns shaping their practice and the world they seek to respond to. Emerging Contemporaries offers a rare opportunity to encounter new perspectives at the very beginning of their professional journeys. These are artists to watch — curious, questioning, and unafraid to push boundaries.

Kerry Green
Devon based artist maker and developer, Kerry Green, examines barriers intertwined within the complex and wonderful diversity we hold as people. Whilst keen to explore how themes can be incorporated to bring communities together in a world where division lives in a state of societal expansion. Driven to have an impact on the world outside of a career in consumerist retail, Kerry explores the potential to create art that questions our human connection with nature, as well as incorporating a keen sense of inclusivity. Focusing on those who do not have a voice. To support being seen in a world where we can often become or feel invisible. As well as printmaking and ceramics, this multimedia artist manipulates recycled fibres and utilises natural resources and found objects. This is all just the beginning of this conceptual foundation to elevate a more nuanced and sophisticated way of communicating what is difficult to be said.
