Join us for a networking event without the early start! Artizan Gallery welcomes you to the 2018 season of Cocktails and Conversation.

This year, we’ll be inviting you to exclusively preview our monthly exhibitions before they open to the public with bespoke cocktails prepared by the legendary local team from Panache, and in addition will be welcoming an exciting line up of speakers to deliver inspiring talks to benefit your businesses. Finally, we’ll wrap up each event with a cocktail demonstration from our talented mixologists!

About the Evening

Tickets include a welcome “Bubbles” Cocktail and drinks token for a second drink from the menu. Every month, we’ll have a new menu of four cocktails, all designed by our mixologists to complement the exhibition. We’ll be picking a different spirit each time and non-alcoholic options will also be available.

About our Speaker

Our speaker this month will be Kevin Dixon.

Torbay in the Movies. Kevin Dixon takes a look at those great - and not so great - movies filmed in our Bay and beyond. From 1918 to the present day, including Nelson fighting the French at Torre Abbey, Oliver Reed punching someone on Torquay harbour side, Vince Vaughn in a movie about bowling, and Christian Slater as Winston Churchill at Oldway!

About the Exhibition

The natural world for many artists is a diverse and expansive source of inspiration, it's power and beauty evoking experience which is at once uniquely personal and universally shared in us all. For Pauline Talbot, it is the solitude, quiet and sense of place within nature that guides her richly vibrant and textural work. The influence of the natural world is resonant both in her 2D oil and mixed media landscapes, and unusual forms of her 3D ceramics and sculptures.

Also joining us in September as part of Devon Open Studios, Pauline will be showing a mixture of her work across her 2D and 3D practice.
