Following a career in Architectural and structural design Chris found the freedom of drawing and painting without the constraints of the design studio exhilarating.

He has slowly expanded his horizons from the foundations of his early photorealistic paintings of the South West and now enjoys full freedom of expression encompassing the human form, Portraiture and Abstraction.

Chris has exhibited extensively, including exhibiting with the Royal Society of Marine Artists, the South West Academy of Fine and Applied Arts and twice at the Winners Exhibition of the SAA Artist of the Year.

Chris is a member of the South West Academy of Fine and Applied Arts (SWAc) and is President of Teignmouth Art Society.
