Angela Holmes

Bridging Sculpture and Printmaking

Angela Holmes is an artist whose practice bridges sculpture and printmaking, with collagraphs providing a tactile and complementary two-dimensional medium to her sculptural work. Made from collages of found and recycled relief materials, her collagraphs are rich in texture and subtle in colour. Angela often uses these prints to explore ideas for potential sculptures or to transform the templates themselves into sculptural forms that break free from traditional frames.

Living near the sea and moors, Angela draws inspiration from her surroundings, which inform the organic and dynamic qualities of her work. She prints from her home in Teignmouth and at TAAG, Teignmouth Arts Centre. A member of Granite Elements and Make Southwest in Bovey Tracey, Angela continues to create works that connect sculpture and print in innovative ways.
