Contemporary British Printmakers on the English Riviera

We had such a wonderful time at Delamore Arts 2024 with our exhibition Contemporary British Printmakers so we decided we wanted to keep sharing this wonderful collection of work for a bit longer!

So we're excited to announce that we’ll now be touring the showcase to our home gallery on the English Riviera at Artizan Lucius Street.

About the Exhibition

“From woodcut to etching, lithography to mezzotint, monotyping to mokulito, the variety and diversity of printmaking techniques makes it a near endlessly explorable art form, and one that has defined trends and tastes for centuries. As a practice and craft, it owes much of this evolution to the dialogue that grew between those that pursued its practical use as a tool for reproducing text and image, and the artists that sought to exploit the opportunities this bore for their own creative expression.

Today, the spidering and innumerable tributaries that the practice has taken, lend their successes both to the worlds of modern publishing and printing, and to one of the most exciting art markets of the 21st century.

Contemporary British Printmakers 2024 is the inaugural exhibition curated by Aritzan Collective on behalf of Delamore Arts. It brings together 22 printmakers from across the UK, showcasing 80 original works and exploring 11 techniques that span over a thousand years of the artform.”

Our Artist Previews are a great chance to meet the artists, experience our exhibitions and enjoy a relaxed social evening in our venues. The events are free and open to all with the option to make a voluntary donation to support our work if you wish.
